Vitória

Vitória is a sweet sesame variety developed to deliver high productivity, excellent industrial yield, and performance stability. It is the ideal choice for those seeking grains with standardized color, mild flavor, and versatile application in the global market.
Key features:
  • Cycle: 110–120 days
  • Architecture: Branched, with good capsule structure
  • Dehiscence type: Low to moderate
  • Harvest loss: ~10–12%
  • Yield potential: Up to 1,500 kg/ha (more stable and adaptable)
  • Grain profile: Sweet, excellent for tahini, oil, and hulled grains
  • Key features: Uniform color and excellent adaptability in different regions

Jordão

The Jordão variety offers high yield potential, combining high resistance and excellent adaptability to Brazilian climate and soil. Ideal for those seeking reliable performance, even in challenging environments, consistently delivering productivity and industrial quality.
Key features:
  • Cycle: 120 days
  • Architecture: Ultra-branched basal
  • Dehiscence type: Semi-dehiscent
  • Harvest loss: ~12%
  • Yield potential: Up to 2,800 kg/ha
  • Grain profile: Sweet, ideal for tahini, oil, and hulled seeds
  • Ideal for: Industries seeking a sweeter flavor and excellent yield

K3

The K3 variety is recognized for its neutral profile and high industrial stability, making it ideal for applications requiring grains with a clean taste and uniform performance. It is widely used by industries that prioritize yield, flavor neutrality, and greater processing stability.
Key features:
  • Cycle: 100–110 days
  • Architecture: Balanced branching and well-structured plants
  • Dehiscence type: Semi-dehiscent
  • Harvest loss: ~10–14%
  • Yield potential: Up to 1,700–2,000 kg/ha
  • Grain profile: Less sweet, ideal for oil, hulled sesame, and industrial blends
  • Key features: Higher thermal stability, excellent color standardization, and high efficiency in roasting processes

Anahí

Developed in Brazil by Embrapa, the Anahí variety features a single-stem growth habit, which facilitates management and allows for higher planting density. Early-maturing, it performs efficiently in drier environments, ensuring good yield stability. It has light-colored, uniform seeds with a high oil content. During harvest, it shows greater sensitivity, which can lead to increased seed shattering.
Key features:
  • Maturity: 90–100 days (early)
  • Plant architecture: Single stem, erect growth habit
  • Dehiscence type: Semi-dehiscent
  • Harvest loss: High susceptibility due to capsule fragility and easy seed shattering
  • Yield potential: Up to 1,600 kg/ha
  • Seed profile: White, large-sized, with an oil content between 50–52%
  • Ideal for: Manual harvesting and industrial applications that require a consistent appearance and good oil extraction yield
